Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative reports to the EVP of Sales and is responsible for driving new revenue through a mix of inbound and outbound sales activities. The ideal candidate should have experience in software and/or SaaS sales. As an Inside Sales Rep, you will prospect, engage, and qualify small to midsize business leads with the goal to identify and close quality opportunities. The individual must be able to comfortably engage with all levels of prospects, across multiple industries, using all available mediums including phone, email and social media. Specific experience selling into financial services, accounting, technology, and insurance a plus. The ideal person will be a self-starter, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prospect and sell to small and midsize organizations across multiple industries such as financial services, accounting, technology and insurance.
  • Manage opportunities passed form marketing efforts through the entire sales process  
  • Source new sales opportunities through creative outbound prospecting 
  • Effectively deliver product demonstrations to prospects to showcase value of Industry Intelligence
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Remain knowledgeable of company's products/services to support prospect needs
  • Drive event attendance for webinars, trade shows/conferences, executive dinners and other events
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual quotas
  • Disciplined use of to record all communication with each lead, contact and account 
  • Work effectively with other team members and throughout the organization
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years in an inside sales role
  • Experience delivering product demonstrations to create value
  • Ability to present to groups online and in person to drive product value
  • Negotiates win-win outcomes with prospects
  • Experience using SalesForce and Google Suite for Business
  • Proven track record of quick learning and exceeding set sales goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Organized, detail-oriented individual capable of meeting quarterly and annual results
  • Proven success in managing passed opportunities and executing outbound sales programs to achieve desired results
  • Experience engaging with prospects through social selling efforts
  • A team player who performs well independently and is open to coaching 
  • Must be a confident, adaptable self-starter who thrives in an empowered, fast-paced environment


Vertical IQ operates in North America with an office in Raleigh, NC. This role can be based anywhere in the United States and will require some travel.
