In late 2025, we asked our users a simple question: How is Vertical IQ actually helping you do your job better? Their answers were clear … and consistent … across the industries we work with, from banking to accounting, business consulting, and beyond.

What we heard wasn’t just about Vertical IQ’s top features or outstanding customer service. It was about quantifiable outcomes. It was about bolstering confidence. And it was about showing up better prepared, building stronger relationships, and winning more business — all attributable to customers’ use of our Verified Industry Intelligence.

Based on the results of our 2025 Vertical IQ User Survey, here are four of the key ways users told us Industry Intelligence delivers value to them:

1. Walking into every conversation prepared and confident

Preparation remains the foundation of how users rely on Vertical IQ. From understanding an industry’s current conditions to identifying key risks and trends, our users consistently rated call prep tools and core industry content among the most valuable parts of the Vertical IQ platform.

And that type of preparation shows up where it matters most: 86% of users said Vertical IQ helps them build trust with clients and prospects.

Confidence isn’t a soft benefit; it’s a proven competitive advantage.

2. Turning industry insight into stronger client relationships

Vertical IQ is increasingly being used beyond just industry research. It’s frequently an integral part of the conversations our users are having with business owners.

  • 72% of survey respondents say they share Vertical IQ content with existing clients.
  • 51% say they also share it with prospects.

In other words: Users aren’t just using Vertical IQ to prepare for conversations; they’re actively incorporating industry insights directly into multiple phases of their sales process.

The result is more proactive, insight-led engagement with business owners, helping build credibility early as well as continuously strengthen relationships over the long haul.

3. Supporting smarter financial and credit decisions

For many of our users — especially in the banking sector — Vertical IQ is embedded in underwriting, advisory, and financial analysis workflows as well.

This is likely why our financial benchmarks, industry forecasts, and proprietary risk rating insights were among our highest-rated tools, based on survey responses, reinforcing their integral role in day-to-day decision-making.

Users told us these insights are particularly valuable in niche industries, where reliable data can be harder to find, helping teams reduce uncertainty and move forward with greater clarity.

4. Saving time without sacrificing depth

While our customers love numerous aspects of using Vertical IQ, our content’s ability to make industry research quicker and more efficient continues to be a major driver of value.

Survey respondents frequently cited time-savings as a primary reason for using Vertical IQ, especially when researching unfamiliar industries or preparing for meetings.

At the same time, ease of use remains another key strength:

  • 88% of users say information is easy to find on Vertical IQ.
  • A majority of users engage with the platform on a daily or weekly basis.

That combination of speed, depth, and simple usability is what enables Vertical IQ customers to scale their preparation without cutting corners.

Underscoring how we serve our customers

Perhaps just as important as what users said within the 2025 Vertical IQ User Survey is how they said it. The feedback they shared reinforced something we take very seriously at Vertical IQ: Our role isn’t just to provide data; it’s to help customers succeed with it.

According to our users, that commitment shows up in the experience we deliver. For example, 84% of users rated our numerous training opportunities as helpful or very helpful.

What’s more, we don’t view customer success as a one-time event. It’s an ongoing partnership, ensuring customers continue to get value long after onboarding.

An ongoing commitment to success and continuous improvement

At Vertical IQ, we aren’t willing to rest on our laurels. We’re always eager to hear users’ ideas on how we can make our product and service even better. 

Survey respondents pointed us toward what’s next. We’re listening, and those priorities are already shaping our roadmap!

But our main takeaway from this year’s survey is simple: When our customers use Vertical IQ, they tell us that they show up better prepared and more confident, can build trust faster, and are able to win more business.

Our job is to make sure they have access to exactly what they need: the most trustworthy and timely industry and economic data, an array of training and support resources, and a continued focus on helping them succeed.
